Rucker is dating Leah Deahl, a content creator from South Carolina. Deahl is also a singer, songwriter, and the host of a podcast called "Daily Negotiations with Myself." It's unclear how Rucker and Deahl met, but the singer hard-launched their relationship with this photo of them at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
"Wizard of Oz at @spherevegas with my love & my boys. 1000/10!!!!!"
The last time Rucker was reportedly in a relationship was when he dated comedian Kate Quigley, whom he dated for much of 2020. Their relationship came after his divorce from his ex-wife, Beth, whom he had been married to for 20 years.
Quigley has made a few comments about their relationship in the past, calling Rucker her "d-bag ex" on social media. The two dated for nearly a year but supposedly ended on bad terms.
Let's Hope This Relationship Is Better Than Rucker's Last
In 2021, Kate Quigley went through a suspected overdose after a night out with comedians Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli, and a friend, Natalie Williamson. While staying at a hotel in California, the group took cocaine that was laced with fentanyl. Quigley remained at the hospital and was in critical condition for a while. When asked about his ex's overdose and how she was doing, Rucker shared, "You know she's doing great, she's coming out of that. I'm glad she's doing that."
Quigley then responded on social media, asking Rucker to "refrain from making comments" about her, since he "hadn't called once" to see how she was.
In 2023, the Rucker-Quigley saga continued when Darius got arrested for drug possession at a traffic stop. The singer was found to have marijuana and psilocin in his car, but was later released. In December 2023, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and he turned himself in in February.
His attorney released a statement on the arrest, saying, "Darius Rucker is fully cooperating with authorities relating to misdemeanor charges." However, of course, his ex-girlfriend Quigley had some other things to say. Quigley shared on Twitter about the arrest, "Yes. I've heard. All I can say is karma."
She then followed this up with a picture of herself, smiling, saying, "Mood when u hear your d-bag ex got arrested."
Well, let's hope that this time around, Rucker's in a different boat relationship wise. The ex Hootie & the Blowfish frontman seems to be doing well, especially after making a recent move to London. It seems like right now, with a new relationship and a new home, the country singer's got it made, and we're happy to see him thriving.
