Turkish singer and reality TV star Turbo Turabi has caused quite a bit of controversy in Turkey with the explicit lyrics in his new track causing it to be banned. But, it didn't stop the nasty song from hitting the Genius charts.

The song "Wine Me, Dine Me" by Turbo Turabi features some pretty filthy lyrics. So be warned this is definitely NSFW for work if you take a listen. The chorus goes along the lines of:
"Moan day, tongue day, wet day, thirst day, freak day, sex day,
Every day is National Org--m Day, are you coming?"
This is just part of the chorus, too. The rest of it is even worse. Honestly, the lyrics are hilarious. Filthy, but hilarious. When I first heard it I thought it was some kind of parody, but apparently he's serious. However, the Turkish government is even more serious, and banned the Turbo Turabi "Wine Me, Dine Me" track.
The track, released in English, has been deemed by the Ministry of Family and Social Services in Turkey to "negatively impact society's general structure." Because of this, access to the Turbo Turabi track has been restricted across the country.
Despite An Access Ban, Turbo Turabi Still Tops The Charts - Twice
The filthy song by the Turkish artist, despite being banned in Turkey, has still made its presence known. The weekly chart on Genius shows it appearing not once, but twice. Both the original dirty version and the rereleased censored edition are in the top ten searches for the week.
It appears that any publicity is good publicity. The Turkish government banning a song like "Wine Me, Dine Me," only got people more tuned in. In attempting to silence the, quite frankly, dreadful track, they just gave it popularity.
The lyrics are beyond ridiculous. I think the intention is to create something akin to Craig David - "7 Days." However, what has been released is so unashamedly explicit, that it feels like an intrusion. The song reads like a teenage boy's first attempt at dirty fanfiction rather than a smooth, sexy, R&B track.
Either way, it's got people talking. Turbo Turabi may have been banned in Turkey, but he's making waves internationally.
