The talented voice actor tragically fell from the roof of his home in São Paolo, Brazil. Germano had been living with his parents for the past few weeks while home improvements were taking place. He had climbed up to the roof to check the progress of the work before losing his balance and falling.
Germano's funeral took place on Thursday, Nov. 27. His family and friends were in attendance in Vargem Grande Paulista.
Outside of his voice acting work, Germano was also a talented actor. He appeared in the stage productions of "The Phantom of the Opera" and "The Fiddler On The Roof," among others. Furthermore, Germano also took part in some movies, including "Necropolis Symphony."
Nevertheless, it's his voice acting work that allowed him to shine. Primarily working on children's shows, it's likely that Germano's voice was part of millions of childhoods throughout the years, all without anyone knowing his name.
Fellow Voice Actors Paid Tribute to Tony Germano
Germano's passing has clearly come as a shock to the voice acting community, especially in Brazil. Maria Lopes, a voice actress, shared a tribute to Germano on social media.
"Tony was one of the kindest souls I've ever worked with. Always generous with his time and so full of life," Lopez wrote. "It's impossible to imagine the stage and studios without him."
Miguel Falabella, a Brazilian actor, also shared a tribute.
"An impeccable professional, a dear friend, a talented actor," Falabella wrote. "I had the privilege of working alongside him in several productions, such as Annie and Man of La Mancha, among others. Mission accomplished, my dear."
Germano's latest role was in the movie "Labirinto Dos Garotos Perdidos," which was released earlier this year and scored a 4.3 on IMDb.
The talented actor didn't have children, but left behind a heartbroken family, including his sister, and a Latin acting community in shock.
