Disney World Is Prepared To Launch Massive New Theme Park

Yeah, as if Disney World needs another reason to take all of my money. I don't know if you've ever been there, but I swear I don't buy anything and I've lost $500. On pretty much food alone. Not to mention how much money I spent just to get everyone there. But hey, maybe this new park will make me feel like they've earned their money from me?

Disney World Just Keeps Expanding

Well, when you own everything, I would say it's definitely in your prerogative to just grow. I don't even want to know the kind of financial weight that Disney can throw around at this point. They own both Star Wars and Marvel, not to mention Pixar and their own famous IPs. It's just gross to think about.

But at least they're putting all that cash into a new park?

Now, the really, really bad news is that as of this moment, I have no idea what the park is going to be about. We don't even have an inclination, although there are plenty of conspiracies on how the magic will be created.

What we do know is that this will be the fifth park. I'm not talking about something tiny. This will be on par with Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios. It will be the first park of this size to be opened since 1988.

Yeah, it's truly been that long since a new park dropped.

The Big Plan

Oh, it's big alright. The plan has been named Comprehensive Plan 2045, and I would say pretty aptly named. This project comes from the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, yeah, it's a mouthful.

According to the plan, Disney has created space for two smaller parks and one "Major Theme Park". Naturally, this plan will take place in the coming decades. You know, Plan 2045 and all that.

The report specifically stated that about 400 to 500 acres would be available for the mega-park. Meanwhile, the "mini-parks" would average about 147 acres of land.

Also in the plan? Plenty of space for more hotels, entertainment zones, and the infamous underground tunnels for employees.

This is going to be a major expansion coming in the next decades. I, for one, am excited to see what the financial prowess of Disney might bring.
