“Does Keith Urban Hate Us?” Country Star Hangs up on Radio Show Over Sex Question About Wife Nicole Kidman

Keith Urban is an open book, except when it comes to his personal life. According to the New York Post, Urban was on a Zoom with an Australian radio station, Mix 102.3, discussing his High and Alive World Tour, which heads to Australia next month.

All was well until hosts Hayley Pearson and Max Burford asked Urban to participate in their "Wall of Truth" segment. Sounds innocuous enough, but unfortunately, the hosts crossed a line by asking about Urban's personal life, and specifically his wife, actress Nicole Kidman.

"What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?" Burford asks. Without even as much as a goodbye, Urban exits the interview.

"What just happened here?" Burford asks, with a producer announcing that Urban has disconnected from the Zoom call.

"I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question," the producer adds. "He's gone, see you Keith."

Pearson reportedly had a feeling the father of two would balk at the question.

"Does Keith Urban hate us? Do we have beef with Keith Urban now?" Burford questions. "If you knew this was going to happen, Hayley, why didn't you stop me asking the question?"

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's Marriage

Urban and Kidman have been married since 2006. Their relationship changed everything for Urban.

"Meeting her and getting married wasn't life-changing, it was life-beginning," Urban tells CBS News. "It was literally like, 'Okay, now life starts.'"

With two superstar careers, the couple has successfully managed to keep their private life, including parenting their two girls, mostly to themselves. When they got married, Urban was still an addict, going to rehab four months after their wedding. Kidman now admits she wishes they had gotten together long before they did.

"I wish I could have met him much earlier and had way more children with him," Kidman admits to ET. "But I didn't. I mean, if I could have had two more children with him, that would have been just glorious. But as Keith says, 'The wanting mind, Nicole. Shut it down.'"
