Dolly Parton's longtime marriage to Carl Dean was so beautiful and aspirational. Oftentimes, relationships may fizzle out, or the time spent doesn't last as long as it could've. However, their relationship is one to admire. Unfortunately, Dean passed away, and she's been dealing with the aftermath of such a devastating blow. Thankfully, friends, family, and fans alike have given plenty of love, thoughts, and prayers to try and grapple with such a tough time. After some time to digest, Dolly finally addresses everyone's concerns.

Recently, Parton posted a statement on her Instagram, where she addresses the outpouring of thoughts and prayers sent her way. Relatively speaking, she's handling the grief of such a devastating loss with love and grace. A lot of her mind is dedicated to the faith that she has in God. "This is a love note to family, friends, and fans. Thank you for all the messages, cards, and flowers that you've sent to pay your respects for the loss of my beloved husband, Carl. I can't reach out personally to each of you, but just know it has meant the world to me. He is in God's arms now, and I am okay with that. I will always love you," Dolly writes.
Dolly Parton Thanks Everyone for Their Love and Concern After Carl Dean Passed Away
Parton and Dean were notoriously quiet in their relationship over the years. Frankly, Carl didn't really want to be bothered with the public spotlight in the first place. He left that aspect of life to his wife to grapple with, only coming out on rare occasions. All he wanted to do was work in his asphalt-paving business and to be left alone with his ol' lady. "He's just always asked me to leave him out of all this. He does not like all the hullabaloo," Dolly recalls in an interview.
This extends to friends of hers as well. Apparently, Reba McEntire never got to meet Carl Dean or even go to her house.
