Radar Online has reported that an insider has divulged just how excited Dolly Parton is to let her hair down and enjoy her time in Las Vegas when she's not on stage.
Later this year, from December 4 to December 13, the "Jolene" hitmaker will have a residency at Caesars Palace. And when she's not on stage, she'll be able to enjoy the city with her friends and crew.
The insider explained that this will be a good change of pace for the singer, considering she's still grieving the loss of her husband for 60 years, Carl Dean. Although she will never stop grieving this loss, it'll be good for her to enjoy herself.
"It's been a little over four months since Carl died, and Dolly's been so brave," the insider allegedly said.
"She's looking forward to hanging out with the crew and meeting up with some friends for laughs and maybe the occasional glass of wine in Vegas, though she's not a big drinker."
Dolly Parton Back In Vegas For A Six-Show Residency
Dolly Parton will be hosting six shows close to Christmas at Caesars Palace. The insider is grateful that Dolly Parton will be able to do what she enjoys.
"It'll get her out of the house, she'll be able to dress up in her fancy costumes and perform for the fans, which she loves to do," the insider continued.
It's not just the insider that's looking forward to Dolly Parton having fun. All of her friends are excited for her, too.
"Her pals are glad to see her getting excited about the trip. She really deserves to cut loose. It's been too long - she spent the last few years looking after Carl."
Carl Dean passed on March 3 this year. She has been open about her grief, and her fans and supporters have been by her side during her devastating ordeal. Parton has still been a very busy body, so some downtime in Vegas may be what she needs.
