Dolly Parton Reveals Her Favorite Taco Bell Order

Dolly Parton can certainly afford to eat at any restaurant she chooses. But the 79-year-old reveals one of her favorite restaurants is Taco Bell, adding that she gets the same thing almost every time she goes: a Soft Taco Supreme, Mexican Pizza, and a side of rice and beans, with mild sauce.

"I like the others, but they fall apart so bad, especially if you're riding around," Parton tells Business Insider, referring to her choice of a soft taco instead of one with a hard shell. "So I always get a Taco Supreme, with the sour cream and all that, in the soft shell. I love that."

Parton is one of many who lobbied Taco Bell to bring back their Mexican Pizza, which was discontinued in 2020, but brought back due to fan demand two years later.

"I was just one of many, many people that had missed them," Parton says, deflecting the credit for its return. "I'd just make them bigger so I could have more of it!"

Taco Bell famously has a wide variety of sauces to choose from, including the extra-spicy Diablo. But for Parton, she sticks with the mildest sauce.

"I don't like to get it too hot and ruin everything," she says.

Why Dolly Parton Likes Taco Bell

Known to enjoy the simple things in life, Parton's fondness for Taco Bell began years ago, when she and Carl Dean would go to Taco Bell for a date.

One thing is certain, Parton is anything but picky when it comes to good food.

"I love Indian, Italian and Mexican food," Parton tells the New York Times. "And if it's a romantic type of thing, I like a good French restaurant. I don't like pretty food. The way I see it, if the food's too pretty, it ain't too good."

Parton is now having to visit Taco Bell without Dean, who  passed away earlier this year. Parton met Dean when she was just 18, making his loss incredibly difficult for her.

"I am a person of faith, and I truly believe that I'm going to see him again someday," Parton tells The Independent.

"I see him every day in my memories and in my heart," she continues. "And in all the things that we used to do and all the things that we've built together. You just kind of have to learn to kind of make new plans - but that's the hardest part."
