There goes Donald Trump, antagonizing celebrities again. Evidently, the U.S. president finds much more satisfaction at prodding actors like George Clooney than doing anything helpful in the White House. Perhaps it's wishful thinking on my part to think it would be otherwise. Regardless, he's taking his time to poke at arguably the biggest celebrity in the world, Taylor Swift. Moreover, Trump has a couple of reasons why he's taking potshots at her.

For starters, Swift made the incredible rare political cosign for Kamala Harris towards the 2024 presidential election. She writes against Trump on Instagram, "I'm voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."
Add Trump's election win to her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, the president has ammunition. He's not afraid to use it to troll either.
Trump Trolls Taylor Swift While Hosting Philadelphia Eagles at The White House
While hosting the Philadelphia Eagles at the White House, the president celebrates their Super Bowl win with most of the team in attendance. He notes how he got to see the game in person and how he rooted for Philadelphia personally. Given Taylor Swift's allegiance to Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, Trump doesn't hesitate to take a silly potshot.
"It was an incredible game. A little surprising, but right from the beginning in the first quarter of the big game - which I was there. I watched in person. I was there along with Taylor Swift. How did that work out? How did that one work out?" Trump mocks.
