In writing about the Eagles, whose music I truly love, I have learned two key facts. They were unbelievably talented. And they fought with each other a whole lot. There are stories still swirling about their epic wrangles. You wonder how they got together on concert stages and in recording studious to do what they did so well, given their battles.

One member of the band apparently won't be rejoining their ranks in the near future. That is Don Felder. Now 77 years old, he was the band's lead guitarist for almost three decades.
Per American Songwriter, they seem to have put all the problems of the past behind them for their residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. According to the outlet via SiriusXM's Eddie Trunk, Felder would supposedly hop onstage again with his former bandmates if asked to by the Eagles' guiding powerhouse, Don Henley. But that is unlikely. Felder reportedly said, "I'll tell you this, I'm not holding my breath." As the outlet put it, "Don Felder and Eagles are on cordial terms, but they aren't the best of friends."
Don Felder Was An Integral Part Of The Eagles' Success For Many Years
Felder was in on the Eagles' greatest successes - and thee were loads of them. Being part of that for almost thirty years is a stunning milestone. But there were arguments erupting concerning contracts and pay that marred the Eagles' relationships with each other. He eventually exited from the band presumably for those reasons.
Today, however, he claims that all those nasty squabbles have been put to rest. He said, "There are times here and there along the way that we bump into each other, and we're very cordial about it. I really kind of buried all the hatchets in 2000."
Felder's Solo Career Is Still Going Strong
In the meantime, Felder is going to be very busy with his own lively career. Per the outlet, he will be touring with Kevin Cronin and Styx during the summer. In addition, Felder has an album dropping on May 23. It's called The Vault - 50 Years Of Music.
So even if he's not alongside his former Eagles mates, Don Felder is still making great music for us to savor.
