However, one memory that will likely stick in his mind is from a random trip to a McDonald's in Melbourne, Australia. During the visit, Baldridge got more than he bargained for. He witnessed one of the female staffers being abused and spat at, likely by an irate customer.
Fortunately for the staffer, two members of the public quickly intervened, getting the abuser to the ground and controlling him to de-escalate the situation. Baldridge posted a snippet of the incident to his Instagram account, while also giving his own account during the recording.
"He probably said it like five times and I was starting to get frustrated," Baldridge said. "And I was like, 'Bro, you need to calm down. You don't talk to women like that.' And before I know it these dudes got this dude on the ground. The guys were holding him down, saying, 'wrong country to abuse women.' It was just so inspiring to watch these dudes stand up for this woman. I think our country needs more of that, and a lot of people are not going to talk about this. And you're gonna see maybe like 'that's the wrong way to do it you shouldn't fight.' But sometimes you gotta know when to fight."
Baldridge captioned his upload to the social media platform with "Never abuse women."
Drew Baldridge Isn't the Only One To Have a Bad Experience in Melbourne
While in Melbourne, Baldridge isn't the only one to have a weird moment when navigating the city. On Wednesday, Nov. 5, Jelly Roll shared how he was "treated like a criminal" when visiting the Melbourne branch of Louis Vuitton. The "Save Me" singer posted about the incident on his Instagram story.
"Hey man, the Louis Vuitton in Sydney legitimately just treated us like we were finna come in and rob that place," Jelly Roll said. "I have never been looked at more like a crim...Listen, the last time I was looked at like a criminal this bad — I was an actual criminal this bad."
It's possible that Baldridge was also present for that ordeal. Fortunately, those two fleeting moments are unlikely to cast a shadow over what's been a successful tour so far. It's been filled with memorable moments and countless high points.
