While attempting to impress a girl, a drunken man has found himself surrounded by police, and at the top of Wyoming's famous antler monument. After one too many beers and an uncomfortably long lull in the conversation, the unnamed man scaled the structure.
Rather than find something interesting to say, he decided to show off his Spider-Man impression. But someone, probably worried for his health, called the local police. They arrived at the scene to find the drunk man at the top of the arch of antlers.
The Jackson Police Department arrived around 1 am and coaxed the man down. When they asked him just what he thought he was doing, he told them he was drinking (obviously) and trying to "impress some girls he had just met."
Next time, he should try something smoother. Maybe learn how to dance, or work on some interesting conversation topics. Even juggling would be a bit more impressive than trying to climb a giant antler monument drunk.
Antler Monument Climbing Drunkard Let Off With A Warning
The police, feeling generous, thought they would give the man a chance to share a room with someone other than a cellmate. Instead of arresting him, they just slapped him with a $100 citation. Jackson police Lt. Russ Ruschill said he cooperated and realised his stupidity.
But, Ruschill was still pretty impressed that he drunk man made it up there. "I don't think I've ever seen anybody quite get up as far onto the top like this gentleman," the Lieutenant said. "We usually catch them thinking about it, talking about it, or just starting to climb. From the photos I saw on Instagram, this guy has made his way to the very top of the arch."
Hopefully, the woman was as impressed as the police by the drunk scaling of the antler monument. You never know, he may have gone home with a citation and someone on his arm. Totally worth it.
