'Duck Dynasty' Si Robertson Takes Offense At One Artist Being Called The Next Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton has a legendary legacy that is nigh untouchable by any other. When thinking about the Dolly Parton of today, however, Duck Dynasty star Si Robertson took offense when one particular artist was mentioned.

Duck Dynasty may be long gone (for now), but some of the cast of the show regularly meet up for their podcast, Duck Call Room, where they chat about anything and everything. Last month, the boys found themselves embroiled in a debate about who the "Dolly Parton of today" would be.

When the question got raised, a moment of consideration ensued... until someone suggested "Taylor Swift."

Now... Taylor Swift may be incredibly popular, but she ain't no Dolly Parton. I don't say this as a jaded old man on his rocking chair on the front porch, either. Dolly Parton is one of a kind, and I don't think there will be another one of her in this life or the next.

As you can expect, Si Robertson did not like that suggestion.

Half of the room supported the idea, and the other side was not happy about it.

After saying "No!" a few times, Si got into detail why he doesn't think Taylor Swift is akin to Dolly Parton one bit.

Si Robertson Goes On Mini Rant Over Taylor Swift And Dolly Parton

"Taylor Swift ain't even in Dolly Parton's league," he started.

John-David Owen butted in, jokingly adding that Taylor Swift doesn't have a theme park. Which is true. I mean which other artists have their own theme park?!

When someone brought up that Taylor Swift is billionaire, Si was ready with a counter.

"Oh I know she's got the money, but hey, she ain't the person, okay? She ain't got the personality. That's my humble opinion," he said.

They did quickly move on, but Si's stance was very clear.

Dolly Parton is more than her net worth, so it's no wonder Si didn't think that was a relevant factor. And as nice a person as Taylor Swift might be, Dolly Parton has that unique charm that made the nation fall in love with her.
