'Dukes Of Hazzard' Star Gets Divorce
While the couple has just recently announced their split publicly, keen-eyed fans have been speculating their split for quite some time. The pair dated for four years, and were married for ten after that. In the beginning of their relationship and marriage, they graced each others social media feeds constantly.
So as Eric Johnson started to appear less and less on Jessica Simpson's Instagram feed, fans began to worry. Furthermore, both Simpson and Johnson were later spotted without their wedding rings. Yet another tell tale sign that this Dukes Of Hazzard star was on her way to divorce.
In an exclusive talk with People Magazine, Simpson revealed the split. She stated, "Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage." From there the star continued: "Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work though this as a family."

Several weeks ago Simpson posted a sultry photo of herself with the following caption.
"Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic.
This comeback is personal, it's an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve ? ? ??."
Many fans speculated that that caption was referring to her marriage, while others argued it was against harsh critics in the music industry in general. Pair this with the back-to-school photo that she shared without her husband and fans were starting to get the picture.
The image featured Simpson with her three children with Johnson no where to be seen. In fact, her husband had not been featured on Simpson's Instagram since back in 2023, which lead to many speculations of their imminent break up.
A source close to the couple told People that "Jess and Eric very much live separate lives."
