This Friday, Ella Langley is dropping a new song, "Choosin' Texas", after making her return to the stage post a little hiatus. Back in early August, Langley posted on Instagram that she would be taking some time off from touring to rest her "mind, body, and heart." Langley was busy this summer, sharing the stage with her duet partner Riley Green, and making stops on her own Still Hungover Tour.

She told fans, "The past several weeks have been tough. I've been fighting sickness and feeling more run-down than ever. After a lot of thought, I've made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health." On Sunday, September 7, Ella Langley returned to her audience at the World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois.
It was there that the singer shared a heartfelt message with fans, giving insight into some personal struggles she'd faced in the past. "I'm so grateful for the girl that went through those things... Because now, I'm the woman that I am because of her. If you're struggling with something today, God's doing something in your life that's gonna make you so grateful for the struggles that you went through. But in the moment, it still sucks."
Now, Langley has made it clear that she's back and better than ever, with new music on the way.
Ella Langley Sings of Rejection in New Song 'Choosin' Texas'
On October 11, Langley shared a promo video on her Instagram, giving fans a peek into the vibe of her new single, "Choosin' Texas". The song will appeal to fans of traditional country music, as it has a two-steppin', twangy, pedal steel sort of energy. The promo video shows Langley sitting at a bar with a drink, while she watches a guy spin a different girl around on the dance floor.
In another video on her social media, the country singer gives fans a little piece of the chorus: "She's from Texas, I can tell by the way he's two-steppin' around the room / And judging by the smile that's written on his face, there's nothing I can do."
Ella Langley's new song comes out this Friday, October 19. We could not be more excited to hear what the "you look like you love me" singer has in store for her fans, who have been waiting patiently.
