Recently, country singer Ella Langley went on The Bobby Bones Show to talk about touring with Riley Green and Morgan Wallen, life, and what having such a quick rise to success has looked like so far. When asked about how she feels about getting noticed in a world where everything you do can be captured on camera, the rising star had a lot to say about authenticity and the realities of being imperfect in a picture-perfect world.

"Everything is so perfect that you see now. Every picture's been edited, every song has autotune, not only on vocals but on most of the instruments. Everything is so perfectly presented to you," said the singer. "People are getting less and less familiar with what a live vocal sounds like."
Langley went on to talk about how many artists now use live autotune to make their voice sound more like how it does in the studio version of a song, and it's created this false perception of what authentic voices actually sound like. "I'm never gonna do that," she told Bones. The singer even shared how she had an experience with another artist last year, who told her her show was great, but recommended she use autotune on her set. "He was like, you're gonna do that, everyone does that. And I was like, 'No, I'm not.'"
Ella Langley Is One To Watch in Country Music
Currently, Langley has been keeping busy, opening for Riley Green on his Damn Country Music Tour, the Still Hungover Tour, and Morgan Wallen's I'm The Problem Tour. Just last November, she released the deluxe version of her album, still hungover, and took home ACM's New Artist of the Year award. "I see a lot of myself in Ella," said superstar Lainey Wilson, "She shows up and she rolls her sleeves up and she is ready to kick down barn doors. You gotta have that spirit in this business, because if you don't have that spirit, there's somebody behind you that's gonna, and they're gonna knock down the barn door for ya."
It seems to us that Langley isn't afraid to kick down any barn doors, and we know she's gonna do it in the most authentic way she knows how. "Sometimes I'm gonna forget some lyrics, and sometimes my voice is pitchier than others, I'm out of breath, or you know. But that's just a live show," the singer told The Bobby Bones Show.
Langley went on to say, "But that's what's fun about a live show is that you get to see an artist for who they are, not just, 'here's perfect.'"
