In the images, Morgan is with their son, Jesse, along with his wife, Kristen, and their two young children. They can also be seen taking selfies at his grave, showing Morgan's name next to his on the tombstone.
Morgan captioned the photos by saying simply, "Missing Keith Whitley."
Whitley was just 34 years old when he passed away in 1989, from acute alcohol poisoning. Morgan typically remembers her late husband on the anniversary date.
"Today is always a sad day for me and my kids and all the Whitleys," she wrote last year. "Today marks 35 years that Keith passed away. Still so hard to accept after all this time. I wish he could see his children and grandchildren so much. He has new flowers on his grave from all of us."
Lorrie Morgan and Keith Whitley's Love Story
Morgan and Whitley were married in 1986. During Whitley's posthumous induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022, Morgan recalled falling in love with Whitley, by listening to him on the radio.
"I heard Keith sing for the first time on the radio on my way to the Grand Ole Opry," Morgan recounts, adding that she was on her way to sing at the Grand Ole Opry. "I heard this song come on the radio and this voice sang 'Miami, My Amy.'"
Morgan pulled her car to the side of the road and remembers thinking, "'I'm in love with that man.'
"I didn't know who it was at the time," she continues. "Right as he got done singing [radio host] Keith Bilbrey said 'That is the great Keith Whitley with No. 15 in the nation this week with 'Miami, My Amy' and he's coming up on the 8:30 spot on the Grand Ole Opry.' And I floored my car. I said, 'I am gonna get a chance to meet this man tonight.' And I did. He asked me out that night and of course, the rest is history, with us anyway."
