ESPN is coming to Alaska and Hawaii. And Wyoming, or whichever state you may live.

That's because the long-running SportsCenter will hit all 50 states. It's all part of a promotional push ahead of its direct-to-consumer product launch this fall. The network announced that SportsCenter: 50 States in 50 Days kicks off June 27. It promises to deliver its usual dose of live broadcasts and storytelling.
The 50-day tour will showcase shows from major athletic venues and local hotspots, blending high-energy events with unique hometown stories. Each day, ESPN will highlight a different state, offering fans a front-row seat to the network's signature blend of sports analysis and cultural celebration.
Nostalgic Journey, Modern Twist
This isn't ESPN's first cross-country adventure. Two decades ago, SportsCenter Across America made multiple stips. It included quirky events like the World Eskimo-Indian Olympics in Fairbanks, Alaska. Or how about the jousting tournament in Port Republic, Maryland? The 2005 tour connected with fans through a variety of sports moments. This year's iteration aims to recapture that magic. All while promoting ESPN's upcoming streaming platform.
David Roberts, ESPN's executive vice president, emphasized the tour's mission. "SportsCenter is more than a studio show -- it's woven into the heart of sports culture," he said in a statement. "Our anchors and ESPN personalities are thrilled to bring the show to fans' backyards, celebrating the shared passion for sports that unites us all."
ESPN on Tour
The tour promises a mix of live broadcasts and pre-recorded storytelling segments. It also aims to spotlight both major sporting events and local traditions. The network plans to announce anchor assignments, feature locations, and fan engagement opportunities in the coming weeks.
Some of the stops will be at college football stadiums. Others will take place in small-town gyms. Most of it will depend on the state and what sports-related event is taking place.
But as the press release stated, the tour will run from late June through mid-August, offering daily content that celebrates the diversity of American sports. Fans can expect a vibrant mix of live coverage, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes stories that highlight what makes sports a unifying force across the nation, ESPN said.
