Katy Perry was performing when a fan crashed the stage and grabbed her in a very strange stage bomb.

Former American Idol judge (and controversial astronaut) Katy Perry was performing in Sydney, Australia, for her Lifetimes Tour. Although there are many things to look out for Down Under, a fan crashing the stage isn't one she would have been expecting.
The moment was recorded by a concertgoer and posted online. When performing her hit song "Hot N Cold," a fan leapt onto the stage from nowhere. While she sang, he wrapped his arm around her, shocking her when she turned around.
She quickly hides her brief discomfort as she spins away from the man to unravel his embrace. Seizing the moment, the man performs the viral 'floss' dance as security went to apprehend him.
I'm sorry, but the floss dance? In 2025? On stage? Next to Katy Perry? The man could have done almost anything else, and it would have been more appropriate. Witnessing the ancient dance evoked a wave of cringe that scratched down my back.
Come on man, do better.
Hilariously, while security and the man scuffled, Katy Perry announced to the crowd, "Well, there's never going to be another show like this. So just enjoy it, Sydney!"
She continued to sing as he was taken off stage and likely removed from the premises.
Fans React To Strange Stage Crash
I must say, that it one of the more awkward stage crashes I've seen. In a stroke of perfect timing, the man was removed from the stage right before Katy Perry belted into the iconic chorus.
People seeing the commotion online shared their thoughts and humor over the matter. And her security team really got it.
"The way her security let him get all the way to her to make physical contact???" questioned one.
"Her security team is from temu," joked another.
"Great, her security reacted within 4 business days only," riffed a third.
"That's scary how long it took security to take him away. Someone with bad intentions could have hurt her easily," one more pointed out.
And as cringey as the stage crash was, we're lucky it was only an awkward watch and not anything more than that.
