Former Eagles Guitarist Don Felder Gives Health Update After Medical Emergency

Things were looking really scary for Don Felder. The former Eagles guitarist was introducing the band's hit "Tequila Sunrise" and candidly speaking with the crowd about the song. However, mid-strum, he loses his balance and nearly faints. Thankfully, staff escorts him off stage to be taken care of at the time. Now, we're finally learning what Don was experiencing up on stage.

Recently, Don's team posted on his Instagram story, captured by Billboard, where they explain exactly what happened to Felder. Thankfully, he's doing all good now. These are just the things that happen when you don't keep up with your hydration. "We appreciate everyone's concern regarding Don Felder's abrupt stop to his show last night on the Rock Legends Cruise," the team's statement reads. "After receiving medical attention he was deemed to be suffering from dehydration. He was given fluids, and is feeling much better."

In the meantime, Felder plans on staying home just a little longer to fully recover before performing again. His team wants to ensure that he's fully prepared for any future performances, especially given his advanced age at 77 years old. "Thank you for your understanding and remember - drink your water!" Don's team concludes in the statement.

Felder had been a member of the Eagles since 1974 and stayed with the crew until 2001. Moreover, he was apart of the group when the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. However, the band eventually lets him go and Don files a pair of lawsuits not long afterwards. At the time, he alleges wrongful termination, breach of implied-in-fact contract and breach of fiduciary duty. Eventually, all parties settle come 2007 and Felder hasn't looked back since, performing Eagles records on his own.
