The ex-husband of Kristin Cavallari received a four-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI. He accepted this as part of a plea deal with prosecutors, following his October 2024 arrest for driving under the influence, reckless driving leading to a collision, violating implied consent regulations, and unlawfully possessing a firearm while intoxicated. The other chargers were dropped because of the deal.

What Happened to Jay Cutler Last Year?

Reports claim that Cutler offered the other driver $2,000 not to call the police. He then tried to leave the scene. He posted a $5,000 bond and was released the same day.

According to the New York PostCutler rear-ended another vehicle. When the cops arrived on the scene, they reported that he was slurring his speech. He also refused to take field sobriety tests. Police said they found two firearms in the former Pro Bowler's vehicle. One of the guns was loaded.

In addition to serving jail time, Cutler was required to pay a $350 fine, serve a year of unsupervised probation, complete a DUI safety course, and have his driver's license suspended for one year.

Kristin Cavallari Has Moved On From Cutler

Last November, Cutler became engaged to Samantha Robertson, per PEOPLEHe was previously married to reality star Kristin Cavallari. They share three children: Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor.

As we reported earlier this year, Cavallari opened up about her time with Cutler on Bunnie XO's Dumb Blonde podcast. She says the couple did "everything" they could to save the relationship, but it just didn't work out. She has gone on to say that the relationship was "toxic," but doesn't want to speak badly about the father of her children.

"As soon as I got out of my marriage, I remember even my mom saying to me [she] had no idea how bad it was," said Cavallari. "I was a shell of who I was, and immediately I got my spark back."
