Have you ever heard people that believe whatever they put their energy into, they'll receive it back? It's a pretty esoteric spiritual belief, essentially what goes around comes around. When you indulge in something positive or negative, it's bound to come back around to you. I don't think this line of thinking completely adds up for a variety of reasons and how tragedy works. But I do think there's a little truth in how indulgence can affect our minds. For Full House actress Candace Cameron Bure, she believes in this wholeheartedly. Consequently, it's one thing she won't let her family take part in.

Recently, Bure spoke on a recent episode of her podcast, where she opens up about spirituality. She explains that her role as a mom has her very particular about the things she takes in, especially with her family. Although, they make fun of her about it, she believes certain things open up a 'portal' that acts as a gateway to our souls. It sounds pretty nuts but she really stands on it.
Candace Cameron Bure is Worried About Our Souls and Spirituality Over Horror Movies
So how does it work? Essentially, Bure explains that the things you allow into your headspace will actually affect you. "Like if you're watching this, or you're playing this video game, or whatever, that's a portal that could let stuff inside our home," Candace explains. "I don't even want someone watching a scary movie in our house on the TV, because to me, that's just a portal."
Then, she uses her experience as an actress as proof of concept to her strong beliefs. "Listen, I'm in the film industry," she stresses. "I understand how it all works. I know that movie has a crew of 200 people, and they're lighting it, and they're adding the sound effects, and it's makeup, and the camera people, and actors; however, there's still something that can be incredibly demonic while they've made it."
Apparently, Candace believes this stretches out in even the most mundane ways too. "That just reminded me like you posted something a while back about Liquid Death," she tells her Texas-based pastor Jonathan Pokluda. "You're like, 'Do you want to buy a product that is literally being cursed as it's going out into distribution?'"
