'Full House' Star Dave Coulier Reveals Moment He Was Prepared To Die During Cancer Battle: "Obviously So Tough"

Cancer feels so insurmountable. Sure, there are those who have courageously fought and beat various forms of cancer. However, when that news drops, it feels like the end of the world. It's hard to have hope at some point, that sense of the end becomes increasingly inevitable. Thankfully, Full House star Dave Coulier is on the other side of his battle with cancer. But for a while, his morale was so low, he was ready for things to turn for the worst.

Recently, the actor talked to Parade Magazine about his battle with Stage 3 non Hodgkin Lymphoma. There, he reveals that there's currently no signs left of cancer. All that's left is the results of a CAT scan to determine whether or not Coulier is on the other side completely.

Now that all of it is behind him, he's candidly admitting that there were times he didn't feel like fighting anymore. "I think everybody's mind goes there," Coulier explains. "It's part of the reality of life. Like, 'Wow, this is really serious' and 'What's the worst that could happen?' I've seen it so often in my family."

Dave Coulier Admits He Wanted to Quit at Times During Chemotherapy

Particularly, Dave notes his fifth time heading in for his routine chemotherapy where he felt drained of his life force. "After [the fifth round of] chemo, he was like, 'I don't know if I could do this again,'" his wife Melissa Brings recalls. "He was like, 'I'm prepared either way. If I die, I die. And if I can stay here, great. I want to.' Those conversations were obviously so tough."

Thankfully, Coulier shares a much rosier outlook now that he's finally finished with chemotherapy. "I'll tell you this," he says. "Today is the first day that I really feel like, 'Wow, I'm feeling pretty darn good. I feel like myself.' And it's today."
