There's a reason why Garth Brooks is seen as one of the most kind-hearted artists in country music. During his recent show at the Scotiabank Saddledome, he paused the concert when he spotted a sign waving in the crowd.

Gale Granrude Gariepy was attending the show just hours after receiving some incredible news. After a long year of treatment, Mason was cancer-free. Gale couldn't help but share the exciting news.
When Brooks spotted the sign that said "Today, my son is cancer-free," he asked Gale where the brave young man was. Because of his health, Mason was not able to attend the show. Naturally, the country superstar had another plan up his sleeve.

In the video above, you can see Gale's shocked reaction when Brooks praises her strength and dedication to her son. Then, he grabs a pen, writes his signature on his guitar and tells Gale that the instrument is now little Mason's.
"May you never have to work with the freaking c-word again," Brooks told her as tears streamed down Gale's face. "You give Mason a hug for me."
Garth has made a habit of giving back to fans during each of his World Tour stops. In recent months, he helped one lucky couple with an on stage gender reveal and gifted a honeymoon to a newly-engaged Texas couple.
