In 2023, Morgan Wallen decided he wanted to add "artist management" to his repertoire of skills. So, he consulted Austin Neal, his booking agent, to talk about starting his very own artist management firm, Sticks Management. In 2024, Wallen announced the beginning of this new era, by confirming that he was to be the firm's sole client. However, just recently via Instagram, the startup has announced that they are adding a second artist to the roster: Gavin Adcock.
The post reads: "Excited to officially add @gavinadcockmusic to the Sticks Management roster. Kicking things off with a new album, "Own Worst Enemy" out this Friday.
Who Is Gavin Adcock?
Gavin Adcock is currently on tour with Morgan Wallen for his I'm the Problem Tour, so it makes sense that he would be a prime candidate for Sticks Management. Adcock has been performing actively since 2021, when he released his first single, "Ain't No Cure." The country artist started making music in high school, but it was a football injury that forced him to fully put all his eggs into the basket that was his music career.
Since then, he's kept his approach to the spotlight pretty simple. "I always like to party and raise hell, and I come from a wild family," he told Country Central. When he's interacting with a crowd, Adcock says he takes a lot of inspiration from his upbringing. "I want to be able to reach out and grab and shake their hand, I just feel like I'm partying with them."
From his time spent in the news this summer, we know that if there's one thing Gavin Adcock knows how to do, it's raise some hell. But it seems like his quest has so far served him well, as he'll be dropping his sophomore album on Friday.
In a recent Instagram post, Gavin gave fans a little insight into what they can expect from his new era. "Through the happiness, hard times, and self-destruction, I've found the best part of my job is letting out music for my fans." Fans think Own Worst Enemy will explore themes of self-sabotage and personal growth, which will be a new look for Adcock, who tends to lean more on the side of country party anthems.
Regardless of what side of himself he shows fans on Friday, we're excited to see the direction that Adcock decides to take, especially now that he's under the wing of Morgan Wallen and an exciting new partnership with Sticks Management.
