The arrest came only two days after she submitted a theft report. According to the outlet, it said that "West stole approximately $400,000 in cash and a Ledger cryptocurrency wallet from two safes inside her home in Franklin" about a month ago.

Nancy Jones Apparently Felt Uneasy About Kirk West

Per the outlet, Jones suspected that West, her romantic partner, was being unfaithful to her. On June 26, she allegedly asked her granddaughter to "secure" cash and jewelry stored in a safe in Jones' home. The granddaughter then found that $400,000 was gone from the safe, plus "approximately 5,534,307 units of the digital currency XRP...." The crypto was valued at $11,622,044.70 then. Its worth has since soared to "$17,045,665.56 as of Friday, July 25."

No one except Jones herself and West possessed the PIN code to access the wallet. She eventually retrieved a portion of the stolen crypto, but not the entire amount. What she could not get back is believed to be valued at almost $1.5 million.

She Told West To Leave Her Home Two Days Later

On June 28, she ordered West out of her residence, per a court document. In a phone call, he allegedly told her that she would get back $5 million of the crypto from him but not the whole amount. He faces a charge of theft over $250,000. West is scheduled to be in court on October 23.

It Is Unclear Exactly How She and West Met

According to the outlet, West supposedly played some kind of role in opening the George Jones Museum ten years ago. It was eventually sold to an investment group.

Nancy (at the time she was Nancy Sepulvado) wed George Jones on March 4, 1983, per The Boot. The country singer had been married four times previously, most famously to Tammy Wynette. They split for good in 1975. But until his death in 2013, it was Nancy who had a very special place in Jones' heart.
