They do not have a polyamorous relationship — rather this person is more of an outside observer. More like a person who watches over them from up above — that's right we are talking about God.
When speaking about relationship advice on The Drew Barrymore Show, Stefani had this to say. "Best advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party." Before anyone could get any wrong ideas, the singer pointed up to the sky to let everyone know exactly which third party she was referencing.
Inside The Couple's Perfect Date Night
After Gwen Stefani revealed the most important thing that keeps her marriage with Blake Shelton together —God — she went on to describe her ideal date night. In a rapid-fire question round with Drew Barrymore, Stefani was asked if she preferred date night in or date night out.
With little to no hesitation, the star admitted that she is a date night in girly all the way. "For sure in, oh my gosh...." the star began. She continued, "I am literally couch, blanket, cookies, chips" as she mimicked snuggling under the blanket and feasting on her snacks. The star even admitted that during date night Shelton sits on his very own couch across the room.
Laughing, the singer admitted, "I would sit next to him but he's gigantic and we don't fit anywhere." Between the love they share for each other, their strong faith, and this cozy date night, it is no wonder that their marriage is thriving and that they have shared nine happy years together.
