HARDY Reveals Heartwarming Inspiration Behind His New Song "Buck on The Wall"

It looks like HARDY is finally ready to share some of the new music he's been working on lately. Moreover, it's coming from a deeply personal, tender, and heartfelt perspective. Recently, he posted on Instagram where he talks about his new album on the way.

There, he details one song in particular titled "Buck on The Wall" that people will eventually get to hear. The singer dishes on why the record is called that and where it stems from in his life. "I've got a song on my next record called 'Buck On The Wall' that perfectly describes this deer and the story behind it," HARDY writes. "Some of you know, but my grandfather passed away a year ago. In 1989 he built our family a little cabin which we have used as our deer camp for the last 35 years, where there are 30-40 bucks mounted on the wall."

HARDY Explains How Important His Grandfather Was to His Life and Art

HARDY continues in the post explaining how this time of year is fit for hunting. Nowadays, he's keeping the tradition his grandfather kept before him. This fall/winter season is the first one he hasn't been a part of, and I wish so bad he could've seen this deer, but I'm damn proud to keep our family tradition alive and keep putting bucks on the walls that he built. So this one's for him. Slide 2 is my grandmother, his wife. Love you Pop," HARDY concludes.

This comes on the heels of his rock album back in July of 2024. Given the subject matter here, I think it's safe to assume HARDY will pivot back to some more country stylings. His most recent feature was on Post Malone's last effort F-1 Trillion and that was a country affair too. Regardless, we can expect a potential tearjerker on his next record.
