It all started with a wink. Then suddenly, the internet and Riley Green lost their minds.

The story begins with a fan holding up a funny message on their phone at a recent Ella Langley concert. It said, "Wink if Riley's a dumba--." The "Weren't For the Wind" singer confirmed how she felt about Green with a big wink. Then social media did what it does: It went nuts.
The comments were hilarious, of course. Users commented on Langley's "Queen behavior" by saying, "This is fr the only hard evidence we have on this rumor, and it's now 100% confirmed."
Riley Green Wasn't Crazy About Langley's Wink
After the clip went viral, Langley excitedly told Backstage Country that she had received a text message from her "Don't Mind If I Do" duet partner. It read, "Not the sweetest thing I've ever seen."
"I'm kind of a jokester," added Langley. "I tend to live on the dark side of humor, so whenever I answered that, I was just answering it as myself and not like as 'Ella Langley.' And I was just kind of answering the joke. Obviously, it's a very dramatic wink, and right when it happened, I saw all the phones up there, and I was like, 'Oh my god, that's going to be taken out of context, and I'm going to get ripped a new one.'"
Langley Continues to Pour Gasoline On The Fire Of Relationship Rumors
Green and Langley's chemistry is apparent in their song "You Look Like You Love Me." The duet even won the CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year. However, neither singer has confirmed that a relationship is happening between them, despite images online showing the duo together and rumors suggesting that the two are romantically involved.
Langley, who is currently touring with Morgan Wallen, has even replied to these outrageous stories on social media.
"When it's a love song, 'We know who this is about.' When it's a breakup song, 'We know who this is about,'" Langley wrote on a banner on the TikTok video. "Maybe I have a life outside of social media drama."
Riley replied in the comments with a meme that had the words, "Phew! Good news."
But we can still dream, right?
