People get very attached to their morning TV show hosts. Whether you watch Good Morning America, CBS Mornings, or Today, the people on set can seem like your friends or family. Jenna Bush Hager Offered Some Thoughts On The Subject
Per popculture.com via People, Hager had a few ideas to share. For one, the search for Kotb's replacement is ongoing. (She left the show five months ago.) And evidently, someone is sought on a "permanent" level.
She said, "We're still searching. We definitely want somebody permanent at some point just because that's our show, and I think the Today show is such a family. So to have somebody sit in that seat means a lot to all of us. So it will happen. I think we've all just been kind of living day by day and we don't have any developments yet, but we will."
Kotb's Role Has Been Temporarily Filled By Several High-Profile Guest Co-Hosts
Some of the famed people who have temporarily stepped into Kotb's shoes have included Andy Cohen and actress Scarlett Johansson. Per the outlet, "Craig Melvin was tapped to take over her [Kotb's] position as co-anchor to Savannah Guthrie. However, there was no permanent replacement announced for the role alongside Hager on the fourth hour of Today...."
Kotb And Her Former Fiance Joel Schiffman Spent Father's Day With Their Two Young Daughters
Per People, Kotb broke up with her fiance, Joel Schiffman, three and a half years ago. They have two daughters - Hope Catherine, who is 5, and Haley Joy, who's 9. The four of them seem to have enjoyed Father's Day together. Kotb posted on Instagram, "A great father's day for a great dad! Happy father's day Joel!"
