Hulk Hogan's Claim of Being Offered The George Foreman Grill First Has Been Debunked

Anyone that knows about wrestling is aware that Hulk Hogan has always been full of it. He lies over some of the most bizarre things in the world. For instance, not long ago, he showed up for WWE's Netflix debut in Los Angeles. However, the crowd wasn't exactly thrilled to see him. They're familiar with his problematic past as we all are. But Hogan comes up with an incredibly bogus reason why the fans didn't love him, highlighting his character back in the 90's and 2000's.

Hulk Hogan's flagrant lying and politicking in the wrestling industry ran rampant throughout his career. Moreover, this seems to extend to his personal life as well. His ex-wife Linda calls him a 'complete liar' that shouldn't be anyone's hero. With George Foreman's passing recently, a clip back in 2014 resurfaced where he claims to have been offered the idea for the Foreman Grill first. Apparently, he's lying about that too.

Hulk Hogan Lies Once Again for No Good Reason

In the aforementioned clip (captured by Sports Illustrated), Hogan recalls to Dan Le Batard that he missed a crucial phone call from his agent that would've landed him the Foreman Grill. "George Foreman and I had the same agent... My agent called me, 'Hogan, I got two things, a grill and a blender. Two choices for you and George,'" Hogan claims. "When I called him back, my agent says, 'I called you first and I figured you would take the grill, but you weren't home so I called George and he took the grill.'"

However, Pablo Torre digs around and finds out that Hulk Hogan is telling an absolute fib. First, he receives a statement from the family of the Foreman Grill's inventor Michael Boehm on his podcast. There, they debunk the former wrestler's claim. "George Foreman was the only celebrity our dad approached about endorsing the grill," Boehm's family writes. "We don't know who started the story about Hulk Hogan being approached but it isn't accurate."

Hogan and Foreman's shared lawyer Henry Holmes says he doesn't know what the Hulkster is talking about either. Instead, he floats two other alternatives that were in contention with George Foreman instead: Pamela Anderson and Chuck Norris. Ultimately, it seems like Hulkamania runs wild... with lies.
