“I Don’t Know if Ten People Are Going To Love It, but I Don’t Care”: Michael Bublé Is Going Country With New Album

This might be the biggest plot twist yet. Michael Bublé sat down with Kylie Kelce to talk about his next album.

Country is trending, there's no doubt about it. With the Post Malones and Lana Del Reys of the pop scene making transitions into the genre that seems to have everybody in a chokehold, it's no longer shocking when an artist announces that they're going to be making a country project. However, when Michael Bublé came forward to announce his own country debut at the height of the holiday season, we have to admit, it was a little unexpected.

But not totally unwelcome, either.

During an interview with Kylie Kelce, Bublé admitted that, despite being known for his Frank Sinatra-esque vocal style, he's actually "loved country music" his entire life. This may come as a shock to his listeners, who likely know him for his Christmas music. He also mentioned that perhaps he's been working on a little country project of his own.

"I don't even know if I'm supposed to talk about this," he told Kelce. "I love country music, and I have loved country music my whole life. He shared, "I have a producer named Dann Huff... and I have made a love letter to country music."

He went on to provide more details about the record, calling it "old-school," which makes sense for him. "It's my interpretation. I have never had an experience that has been better musically. I am so excited to put out this record." He admitted, "I don't know if ten people are going to love it, but I don't care."

Why Dan Huff Is the Perfect Pick for Bublé's Next Venture

If Bublé was going to pick any producer to assist him with that "old country" sound, it seems like Dan Huff was the perfect selection. If you didn't know who Huff was before this, I can guarantee you've heard his work without realizing it was his. A few recent projects of Huff's include Riley Green's Way Out Here album and the song "Don't Mind If I Do". He's also worked with country singers like John Pardi, Keith Urban, Mackenzie Carpenter, and more.

Michael Bublé hasn't released a full-length project since he dropped the 10th anniversary edition of his 2014 "Christmas" album, so seeing him put out new music is exciting, regardless of what kind of space he's stepping into in the process.

According to him, this next album is going to be pretty special. Bublé shared, "I feel like I've earned the right to make a beautiful record... It's not even ready; I haven't even finished it, but I'm telling you, this one is so special for me."
