Earlier this month, Bunnie Xo, Jelly Roll's wife, revealed that after 10 years, he's chosen to shave his facial hair. In an Instagram reel, the influencer teased that she was excited to see the new look, especially now that Jelly is "so skinny."

The "Need A Favor" singer has lost nearly 200 pounds since starting his weight loss transformation in 2022. He's been candid about sharing his journey with the public, a decision he made years ago to keep himself accountable. "What I want the world to know, and I want people to see ... is that I didn't become successful because of my weight. I became successful in spite of it," he shared with the Dumb Blonde Podcast. "I somehow managed to be this successful carrying 550 pounds. That's insane."
Unlike his weight loss transformation, Jelly has waited to show fans his new face card, at least until yesterday. Bunnie Xo told her followers that he would "show [them] when he's ready," and it seems he's finally giving us a peek at what losing a couple of hundred pounds can do. In a reel, he not only showed off the completed look, but also had things to say about the Grammys.
Jelly Roll Gets Emotional Talking About His Three Grammy Nominations
"God will take something that's either normal to make it extremely abnormal, or he will take something that's already incredible to make it absolutely mesmerizing - and that's the case here." This is how Jelly Roll described how he felt after hearing that he'd been nominated for three Grammys this year.
Showing off his clean-shaven face, the singer got vulnerable. He shared that he covered up his face for so long because he was honestly "so obese." He even joked with fans, "By now you have probably figured out that I look like a ninja turtle." Even though he was poking fun at his new look, we have to admit, he's never looked better.
Currently, the "Hard Fought Hallelujah" singer is up for Best Contemporary Country Album, Best Country Duo Performance, and Best Contemporary Christian Song. He's had a hell of a year in 2025, but he tells fans that that's "all Jesus." "When I look at these nominations all that I see is God," he shared.
"It's not even about the album - it's about the name," he said, referencing the nominations he recieved for his album Beautifully Broken. He told fans that, win or loose, "I think we can find beauty in what's happening."
Looking at where Jelly Roll is in his life now compared to a few years ago, it's honestly inspiring. Even though his new look is the cherry on top, it seems like his hard work is really paying off. We can't wait to watch him sweep the Grammys this year, as he continues to inspire us on the daily.
