An email to fans from KISS' revamped website teased the three-day extravaganza. Attendees can expect a set from former guitarist Bruce Kulick, joined by special guests, exclusive activities, and more, according to Loudwire. Organizers plan to unveil a full schedule soon.
Frontman Gene Simmons once dubbed the band's Dec. 2, 2023, gig at Madison Square Garden their "final KISS-in-makeup appearance," capping the four-year End of the Road farewell tour. Speaking to Rolling Stone, he signaled the end of their painted personas. Yet, Simmons hinted at future reunions with Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer.
The announcement follows Simmons' abrupt cancellation of 17 dates with The Gene Simmons Band. NME reports the 75-year-old rocker dismissed health rumors, vowing to reschedule the shows for 2026. Refunds are available for affected fans.
Band Cashing In
KISS, famed for its wild costumes, face paint, and over-the-top theatrics, boasts a storied legacy. Simmons (the Demon) and Stanley (Starchild) earned Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nods in 2014 alongside original members Ace Frehley (Space Ace) and Peter Criss (Catman). Over five decades, the band moved more than 100 million records, delivering anthems like "Rock and Roll All Nite," "I Was Made for Lovin' You," and "Detroit Rock City."
Last April, KISS cashed in, selling its catalog, name, and likeness to Pophouse Entertainment Group AB for $300 million. The deal aims to spark fresh ventures for the "KISS Army," the band's devoted fanbase.
The Vegas reunion shatters expectations set by the 2023 "farewell." Fans now await a spectacle blending nostalgia with surprises, as KISS proves its staying power. Simmons and company appear ready to reignite the stage, makeup or not, for a new chapter in their rock saga.
