The average break-in is pretty scary stuff. Of course, you'd think the people who break into places want valuables, right? But that isn't always the case, as one strange Popeyes break-in suspect has shown.
A wild post on X from the Greensboro Police Department has gone viral. They took quite the pithy approach to notifying the public about what happened.
The post reads, "To the individual who decided to break into Popeyes on Gate City around 5 a.m. Thursday [May 21] morning, and proceeded to cook shrimp, biscuits, and then steal a few things. Popeyes and GDP would like you to rate your food experience by contacting us and/or @GGCrimeStoppers."
Wait, what? I can understand why the person went to "steal a few things". Well, not "understand", but that's the reason why people break into places half of the time anyway, right?
But, as one commenter put it, to "break in, preheat the oven, heat the fryer oil up to temp, bake the biscuits and fry the shrimp" whilst in the middle of a break-in?
Other than that, there's been no other information released about the suspect, nor whether they have been arrested.

Commenters Have Both Criticized the Police and Praised the Popeyes Break-In Suspect
It's been a pretty mixed bag from the Internet on this one.
Some people were quick to criticize the cops. After all, all of that sounds like it'd take a while. But the Greensboro police were quick to clap back at commenters.
A commenter wrote, "It took you guys that long to respond?" But the police's X account responded with, "Uhhhh, we didn't say when we responded." But they didn't respond to another commenter's response of, "Him being able to cook a full meal tells us all we need to know."
Either way, some commenters have praised the suspect for the wild incident. One commenter wrote, "Did more work than the entire crew does all day," with another writing, "Sentence him to repeat that for the rest of us. Biscuit & shrimp breakfast for all the early shift workers."
Others used the situation to joke about the cost of food. "Food is not affordable, you gotta do what ya gotta do."
