Since the death last year of beloved heavy metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne, his family has been making the painful adjustment to his loss. He passed away on July 22 at the age of 76. Now, there is a new member of the Osbourne family who proudly bears Ozzy's name. Jack Osbourne and his wife, Aree Gearheart, have announced the arrival of their baby daughter. They named the little girl Ozzy Matilda Osbourne in honor of her late grandfather.

They Announced the Joyous News on Wednesday, March 11
In an Instagram post, the happy couple made their wonderful news known to the public on Wednesday, March 11. The caption is "Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne." The infant is shown serenely sleeping with a cute stuffed animal nearby. A note featuring a duck and flowers with the words "Hello World" gives some details. It says "Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, 3/5/2026, 8:49 a.m., 7 lbs., 12 oz., 19 in."
The pair has another child, a girl named Maple Artemis, per People. She was born on July 9, 2022. Jack also has a trio of daughters with his former wife. They are ages 13, 10, and 7.
Ozzy Osbourne Reportedly Knew About the Baby's Impending Arrival
A story in the U.K.Sun in December mentioned that Ozzy Osbourne was aware that his son and daughter-in-law were expecting a child. Jack Osbourne said, "It's awesome. I think it's been a healthy distraction, partly healing - probably in that kind of 'full cycle' category, in a weird way."
He added, "It's very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness." As for his spouse, he said, "It's been easy for me - I think it's been a lot harder for my wife!"
Jack went on, "We're super excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected. But it's definitely something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously."
After so much sadness and bereavement over the tragic death of Ozzy Osbourne, it's great to see his family with something uplifting to celebrate.
