Jason Aldean Received a Custom AR-15 as a Gift From a Rising Country Star

This particular country singer thought waaaaay outside the box when getting a thank-you gift for Jason Aldean.

Do you remember the plot of the holiday classic A Christmas Story? Throughout the movie, Ralphie Parker goes to great lengths to make sure that Santa Claus puts one gift under his tree: a Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle. However, his efforts are constantly thwarted by adults who insist the young protagonist will "shoot his eye out."

Well, rising country star Chase Matthew thinks Jason Aldean has been a good boy this year. As a thank-you gift for letting him be a part of Aldean's 2024 "Highway Desperado" Tour, Matthew gave him a similar present: a custom AR-15.

Luckily, Aldean hasn't shot his eye out—yet.

What Does Aldean's New AR-15 Look Like?

Headliners often give opening acts a thank-you gift for joining them on tour. While this might be the first time we've heard about an opening act giving a headliner a gift, let alone a gun, Matthew's gift does seem like something up Aldean's alley.

In a recent interview with Taste of Country, Matthew described the semi-automatic rifle. From the way the "Darlin'" singer talks about his gift, it sounds like he put some real thought into it.

"I got him a custom rifle with all the Jason Aldean logos on it, like, it's gangster, bro," described Matthew. "It's so sick."

Given its unique and personal design, you're not going to see that gun in a pawn shop anytime soon.

Did Jason Aldean Give Matthew Anything?

Aldean, in turn, took a more traditional approach when it came to giving a gift to Matthew.

"I gave him [the gun] and he turns around and says, 'Well, I got you something, too,'" Matthew said. "It's got this logo on it, and I'm like, 'I feel like I've seen this logo before,' and I open it up and it's a watch — and everyone's like, 'It's a Rolex!'"

Matthew wasn't initially aware of what it meant to own that particular brand of watch. He was quickly educated on the value the Rolex brand carries and what it symbolizes.

So, if you see Matthew sporting a Rolex, now you know where he got it. As for Aldean's custom AR-15, it may be put to use during hunting season—unless he's busy planning a Kane Brown collaboration instead.
