Jelly Roll is no stranger to WWE fans. The "Save Me" singer participated in SummerSlam last year, alongside Randy Orton in a tag team match. However, the superstar musician hasn't been seen in the WWE since.

However, during an episode of WWE SmackDown on Friday, March 13, Jelly Roll returned to the WWE Universe. He interrupted The Miz on an episode of "Miz TV," in a segment that also included Kit Wilson.
According to longtime WWE insider Dave Meltzer, Jelly Roll is likely planned for WrestleMania, and his return on SmackDown is to set up a storyline.
"I kind of wonder where they're going with Jelly Roll," Meltzer said. "It just feels to me they're going to build to some gimmick match with Kit Wilson, maybe a tag with The Miz because The Miz has been involved in the storyline. They could do that. I had asked about the story because there was a story about Royce Keys, and I was told that it's not Royce Keys, for whatever that's worth. I wasn't actually told that there is a match [for Jelly Roll], but when you look at it, it certainly seems like they're building it."
Jelly Roll Used SummerSlam as Movitation for His Weight Loss
In an episode of WWE Unreal, which aired on Netflix earlier this year, Jelly Roll was heard making a promise to Paul "Triple H" Levesque. That promise involved him losing further weight if he was put in a match at SummerSlam.
"I knew that if I didn't do something, it was going to kill me, and I just remember leaving there and being like, 'I will be back next summer a different f-----g human,'" Jelly Roll said. " I just kind of shot my shot, and I was like, 'Hey, Triple H, I'm losing this weight, man. I'm dead serious about this...'On a selfish level, I need this. This might motivate me to push me past that number I've never seen before on the scale."
By the time SummerSlam came around, Jelly Roll had gotten under 300lbs.
"Every day, it scared me. My fear in wrestling was, had I bit off more than I could chew? Was I physically going to be able to do it? You can imagine my first week, my body was going, 'No! There's no way you're going to be ready for this!'"
Jelly Roll is unlikely to need such a big ramp-up this time around. As such, we may see him involved in WWE programming in the coming weeks. After all, his involvement in a full storyline will help push ticket sales and draw in a new audience.
