Weight loss can change someone's life dramatically. When people shed pounds, they look and feel better. usually become more active, and drastically improve their overall health. Jelly Roll recently lost around 200 pounds. (He formerly weighed approximately 500 pounds.) It has taken him a long time and plenty of dedication and commitment. At the age of 41, the popular country music star has a newly slimmed-down physique. Unfortunately, however, Jelly Roll also has something he surely did not want - 35 pounds of excess hanging skin.

Jelly Roll Talked Frankly About This Infrequently-Discussed Subject
The "Need a Favor" singer came clean about his loosely-hanging, post-weight-loss skin. He was a guest recently on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast where he tackled the issue forthrightly. "My surgeon said I have 35 pounds of [extra] skin on me now. It's crazy. Just 35 pounds of extra skin, just hanging off the front of me right now."
He added, "Somebody said, 'Doesn't that hurt?' "I said 'not as bad as the 500 that was hanging. I'll take these 35 over that, all day dude, way fair change.'"
He Intends To Do Something About It
Surgery is apparently on the horizon for Jelly Roll to eliminate the hanging skin. A few months ago, he said that all the loose pounds of skin were evidently kind of a problem.
The Singer Knew His Pre-Weight Loss Situation Was Dire
He shared with Joe Rogan via People that he realized something had to shift for the better in his life and soon. Around the time of his 39th birthday two years ago, he started thinking about the future. His future. And he decided to make some really big and very necessary adjustments.
He confided to Rogan, "I started really considering taking the step to try to make a major change in my life. I thought about it around my birthday 'cause I knew my next one was 40. You know what, I don't think I've ever met a 500-pound 40-year-old."
Jelly Roll also said, "It felt like I'd already cheated the game. I'd had multiple heart issues. I was like, man, I should really start trying to figure this out. I could feel myself dying, Joe."
