Jelly Roll has been remarkably open about the hard times he has gone through in his life. Now he is revealing the medical issues that affected him during his recent tour. Per Taste Of Country, his Beautifully Broken tour was a huge success, financially and artistically. But the outlet points out that Jelly allegedly wasn't in top form physically while he was on the road. Trouper that he is, he soldiered on despite his discomfort. What was Jelly Roll dealing with?

He Was Under The Weather A Lot
On the Dumb Blonde podcast hosted by his missus, Bunnie Xo, Jelly Roll said, "I was on antibiotics for 70 of the 90 days of that tour."
Bunnie added that he was operating "under 'extreme duress'" even before the tour kicked off. She said that Jelly had painful abdominal issues that might have been from either his gallbladder or appendix. He confirmed what she said. "I hadn't ate for a week. Just could not. It was horrible... I thought we were gonna have to cancel the first five shows because I thought I had to get a gallbladder removed."
Per the outlet, he did not specify what the problem actually was. The first five concerts went on as planned, as did the rest of the tour.
Jelly Roll Had Other Physical Ills
He Needed A Root Canal
Jelly wasn't done with his medical obstacles yet. Mid-tour, he had to have a root canal performed, not a pleasant procedure. Bunnie mentioned that he also had "an infection going on in your jaw." She explained, "My husband literally went to the dentist, to the oral surgeon, had surgery on his mouth, pulled up, walked in and walked on that stage."
Jelly noted, "My mouth was still numb. I did the first three songs feeling like I had slobber coming off my face."
He added some details. "It's still there. I still gotta go get the cyst removed this month. I still gotta get a dime sized cyst removed from the middle of my teeth."
Is this guy super dedicated or what? Not everybody would persevere through all that, but he sure did.
There Is Good News As Well
Jelly's Tour Was A Smash And He Has Had Success With Weight Loss
The outlet states, "...[I]t was the singer's most successful tour to date, and he spent much of it playing bigger, better sets and connecting more to fans than he ever has before." There was another reason to celebrate. Jelly has reportedly shed 140 pounds. Congratulations!
He was very happy with how the tour went. "It's weird. Spiritually, it was the best tour of my life. Performance-wise, it was the best tour of my life. The 90 minutes we were onstage, I think we connected the way we've never connected from the stage, overall."
Jelly continued, "Physically, even though I lost 100 pounds, worst tour of my career, The good news was, all that kind of pushed me further into the health journey. These were all little guides,"
