"I lost 200 pounds," he says during his talk. "I told Coach I'm getting a contract if I lose another 50."
The Nashville native goes on to share exactly how much weight he has lost.
"I started at 540 pounds. I'm 357 pounds this morning, baby," he boasts.
Elsewhere in his speech, Jelly Roll encouraged the players to focus on their relationships off the field, which will in turn make them better players.
"What was happening on that road between me and the boys started translating to the stage," the Nashville native explains. "And all that connection we were looking for on that stage, that we could never find, because we were only trying to find it in that hour, we thought we were going to connect for this 60 or 90 minutes, and we were going to change the world every night at every little local bar across the world.
"And then we learned that it was the 23 hours we weren't on the stage that we were building our connection. Finding a partner, finding a friend, building a relationship, building strength. Building community. That stuff will transfer to the field."

Jelly Roll began his quest to lose weight at the end of 2022. He has set several goals for himself, including to be on the cover of Men's Health magazine, and to go skydiving.
"For the non-fluffy people in the world, I would give y'all some educational course here — to do all the fun stuff in life, you've got to be under 250," Jelly Roll shares on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "I want to skydive, I want to ride a roller coaster, I want to ride a bull. I know it sounds crazy, I want to wrestle an alligator. I've got a list of things that I want to do."
Jelly Roll did reveal one unfortunate side effect of losing so much weight: sagging skin.
"I'm gonna have to get my skin cut," Jelly Roll reveals on the What's Your Story podcast. "I'm gonna have to because it's interfering with me and my daily functions. It's not even an aesthetic thing."
