Jelly Roll shared the news, in a video joined by Max Thieriot, who plays Bode Leone, a convict trying to redeem himself by working for the California Conservation Camp Program.

"From the stage to the fire line, it's time to see if I can keep up," he says in the clip.

Jelly Roll has been vocal about his desire to act, much like his friend, Machine Gun Kelly.

"I want to act, really bad," Jelly Roll tells Audacy," he says, adding that it might sound "weird" to some. "I never thought I would act, but I've been really inspired by what Machine Gun Kelly has done with his career the last three years. I'm one of the old-school guys, and this is weird, but if I see somebody do something, whatever in me, since I was a kid, instantly goes, 'Oh, that's doable.'"

Per Billboard, Jelly Roll's episode will air on April 11.

Jelly Roll's Real-Life Help With Fires

Jelly Roll's roll in Fire Country is in many ways mimicking his own life. He recently headlined a free concert for those battling the devastating L.A. wildfires. A former prisoner himself, Jelly Roll made sure the inmates who helped battle the fires were also able to attend.

Jelly Roll was joined by his good friend, Lainey Wilson, for the show. She later shared her experience on social media.

"[Jelly Roll] doin what Jelly does," she writes. "It was an honor to thank some heroes alongside him at the [Rose Bowl Stadium] last night. Thank you to all the first responders out there who have showed up time and time again."

According to Whiskeyriff, 16,000 people attended the concert. Of those, a staggering 1,000 were inmates, who volunteered to help fight the deadly blaze. A video later uploaded shows the inmates, clad in orange, singing along to Whitney Houston.

"To some of them inmates that it was the first concert they ever seen, baby," Jelly Roll says during the concert. "Welcome to a Jelly Roll show!"
