Jeremiah Raber recently posted a TikTok from a hospital bed. The Breaking Amish star wrote the caption "sugar levels 993, possible liver failure. Waiting to be life-flighted to another hospital."

On January 2, Raber gave his fans an update on his health. He thanked them, noting he would be released from the hospital on Jan. 3.
"Huge thank you to all the people that have been praying for me," Raber wrote in a post on TikTok. "I truly appreciate it!!! I'm doing good and will be out tomorrow."
Raber has dealt with medical issues before. According to TMZ, he was hospitalized for two days back in 2024. He was suffering from heart problems and diabetic ketoacidosis at that time. Diabetic Ketoacidosis is a serious and life-threatening condition. It occurs when the body is unable to produce enough insulin.
Raber rose to fame during the 2012 debut season of Breaking Amish, earning himself a reputation for being one of the more polarizing cast members. He returned to the show during later seasons.
Jeremiah Raber's Ex-Wife Has a Restraining Order Against Him
Jeremiah and his now ex-wife, Carmela, got married in 2016. Six years later, the couple split, with E! News reporting that she had filed a restraining order against him.
"In April 2022, Carmela filed a restraining order against Jeremiah, according to multiple reports. Jeremiah confirmed the couple was no longer together in a May 2 Instagram post," E! News reported. "The 42-year-old is currently living in Ohio and selling Tupperware."
Jeremiah entered the marriage with three children from a prior relationship. The couple did not have any children of their own. However, Carmela also has four children from a relationship predating her time with Jeremiah.

While he has been keeping his fans updated on TikTok, it's likely that Jeremiah will take some time away from his usual posting schedule. His health comes first, and clearly, he's coming out of a serious illness that will take some time to recover from.
