Joe Rogan Defends Cain Velasquez for Shooting Child Predator

It's all about protecting the children; that's something me, Cain Velasquez and Joe Rogan can agree on. Not long ago, the UFC legend was sentenced to five years in prison for chasing after and shooting a man who was accused of molesting Cain's son. However, the bullets end up hitting the man's father in the car instead. Velasquez received credit for 1,283 days after spending time in jail or on house arrest. This narrows down the actual time in prison to about two years. It's not hard to sympathize with Cain's decision-making as a father. Rogan even believes that he shouldn't have went to jail in the first place.

Recently, he aired another episode of his podcast, sitting down with UFC fighter Ilia Topuria. There, Joe expresses that any father would do the same thing in Velsaquez's shoes. "If you're not a father you do not understand the murderous rage you would have if some man molested your baby. You don't understand. You would see red in a way that no one can describe to you unless you're a parent," Rogan explains. "That f***ing anger... I mean if there's ever a plea for temporary insanity, that's that's the plea. If there's ever a person who could justifiably say "I was temporarily insane," it's a father that's chasing after someone, especially a man, who molests your boy. Everybody understands it."

Joe Rogan Stands Up for Cain Velasquez Amidst His Prison Sentence

Consequently, Joe argues that Cain never should've went to jail and has no business in prison right now. Ultimately, he understands the tough position the judge would be in since Cain ended up shooting a bystander in the situation. However, the podcaster doesn't see Velasquez as a malicious man. "He should never have gone to jail. He's not a threat to society. He's not a danger. He shouldn't be in prison. And he already did three years, he was already in jail for three years. It's horrific," Rogan says.

Joe echoes a sentiment any morally sane man would agree with: anyone harming kids has got to go. "Of course, if he killed that guy, the world would be better off. That's my feeling," Rogan emphasizes. "A guy walking around like that who molests children should be dead. You're victimizing children the most vulnerable and protected people that we have... Anybody wants to do that to children, there's no reason for them to exist. You're just going to ruin lives, and not just their lives but you're going to ruin all the people whose lives they ruin cuz they're all f***ed up now. You kill so much potential from a human being to do that to a baby."
