I always liked John Denver (1943-1997). Not only liked him, but I respected and appreciated him as well. He sang about the things he believed in, such as caring for the environment and the people he loved. Some naysayers found Denver's music too sugary and not hard-edged enough. But to me, he was an original who stood for something that was pure and honest. That was a powerful element of his enduring success. John Denver also made a film with legendary comedian George Burns. The movie, which was based on a novel by Avery Corman, author of Kramer vs. Kramer, fared very well with audiences and critics.

Judging by the enthusiastic comments about the film on
Facebook, John Denver was a big hit in this movie. Fans couldn't get enough of it."I love this film no matter how many times I watch it, I also love John Denver and all of his words and music. With all the unrest that is going on in the world at the moment I am sure John is looking down and shaking his head in disbelief at man's inhumanity to man. If he were here I am sure he would be writing a beautiful song to try to reach the hearts and minds of all people that we might live in peace as one world. "peace"
