John Stamos Brings Out 'My Mini Me' for Beach Boys Concert

John Stamos might as well be an honorary member of the Beach Boys at this point. His history with the band, and Mike Love in particular, is well documented. He would occasionally stand in for the band on drums since 1985, when Love was fronting the group. Similarly, the Beach Boys would also make a handful of cameos on Full House. Truly, it's proven to be a mutually beneficial friendship over the years. Now, the legacy of the band is passing down to Stamos' son.

Recently, the 'Uncle Jessie' actor on Full House shared a series of endearing snapshots from performing with the remaining Beach Boys. There, he shows himself performing and an image sitting with his son Billy. The 7 year old holds his drumsticks in the air while wearing green headphones to protect himself at his age. Stamos looks like quite the proud dad, a major moment of pride as a father. "Wonderful weekend making beautiful music with @thebeachboys and @mikeloveofficial with a little help from mini me!" he writes in the caption.

This ends up being the perfect moment for the actor to honor the late Brian Wilson. The musical visionary passed away in June and John sadly had to break the news to Mike Love. Ahead of his Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Stamos shares the staggering silence Love experience when he told his friend.

"I was with Mike, I got off the plane, and I got the text," the actor recounts. "I said, 'Mike, your cousin passed away,' and his face went blank. We sat in the car for 2½ hours or so... he didn't say one word. I didn't ask him anything, ask him how he was feeling. I knew how he was feeling."

Additionally, Stamos notes how vital Brian Wilson was, not only to himself, but to the band as a whole. "Without Brian Wilson, life would be a mistake. It's been a big blow to all of us," he says.
