Recently, Beyoncé took home the Grammy Award for Best Country Album and Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter. Kacey Musgraves Sets The Record Straight on Viral Reaction to Beyoncé Grammy Win

In a statement to E! News, Kacey slams the idea that she was upset about Cowboy Carter winning the awards at the GRAMMYs. Ultimately, she feels like they're trying to create some ridiculous warfare between two artists with love and respect for each other. "It's a sensationalistic false narrative meant to pit two talented female artists against each other. There was simply no scowl or expression made," Musgraves says in a statement.

Kacey didn't walk away from the evening completely empty handed though. She comes away with the Best Country Song award for her record "The Architect." In her acceptance speech, she keeps it simple, grateful that her song could impact people in turbulent times. "There's so much darkness in the world right now. It feels so good to be able to fight some of that darkness through song," Musgraves says
