Kane Brown has a lot of very personal songs on his new album, The High Road, including one about being a father. Brown's 18-track record includes a song called "3." In a social media post, the 31-year-old reveals the inspiration behind the feel-good track.

"3 has always been a very special number in my life just as I'm sure you can think of your number right now," Brown writes. "You never know how your special number will show up either. Maybe you use it to hit the lottery, maybe you use it as a lock code for your phone (212121) and no this is not my code.
"For me, it was my lucky number in sports," he continues. "And just when I think I'm finished using the number it pops in my life in the most special way possible and I had my 3rd beautiful child. Hopefully, your lucky number brings something special for you."
Brown and his wife Katelyn welcomed son Krewe last June. He joins big sisters Kingsley, who is 5, and 3-year-old Kodi.
"Haunted"
"3" isn't the only personal song Brown included on The High Road. He also bravely opens up about his ongoing battle with depression in "Haunted," a song he sings with Jelly Roll.
"I hope it will give awareness to other people," Brown tells American Songwriter. "One of the main things is actually talking about it. If you don't talk about it, that's what makes it dangerous. If nobody knows, nobody can help you."
It's Brown's wife and children who remind him to keep going, especially when life gets hard.
"The hardest thing right now is just because I'm going through it," Brown admits. "And I have a beautiful family that I need to be here for."
It was Jelly Roll's desire to release "Haunted" on his own that made Brown decide to record the song.
"You'll write songs, and you think that people will relate to them in one way, and then they don't even understand what you're talking about," Brown says. "To know that he really cares about the song that much means we did it right."
