Deadline reports that Lautner portrays a man named Scott, who is invited to be a groomsmen at a lavish wedding in Italy, except he doesn't remember the groom. Scott decides to attend the wedding, not for the celebration, but to make new business connections. He unexpectedly falls for the bride's sister, Mia, while at the wedding festivities.

Brown plays Neil, Scott's best friend. It's a role that The Token Groosman director Natalie Simpkins says is perfect for the father of three.

"We knew we needed bold, lovable personalities to match the heart and humor of this story," Simpkins explains. "Kane brings something so unique. He has a rare mix of vulnerability and magnetism that's incredibly compelling."

The Token Groosman will be Brown's first movie role, but not his first acting gig. He previously guest-starred in an episode of Fire Country on CBS.

Kane Brown's Current Single, 'Backseat Driver'

Brown has been vocal about his desire to act, but he definitely doesn't need a second job. His music career is going quite well, including his current Top 10 single with "Backseat Driver." The song is from his latest The High Road album.

"A lot of people listen to it and think that I wrote this song," Brown tells American Songwriter. He goes on to say that a lot of songwriters will include the artist as a co-writer, even if they didn't write it, to get them to record the song. Fortunately, Brown isn't most artists.

"A lot of artists are going to take that opportunity," he explains. "But I felt the song was so perfect, I didn't want to change one word. I felt like it was my story, and I felt like they deserved every bit of credit that they got for it."

The song does indeed seem as personal as if Brown wrote it, but that is irrelevant to Brown.

"I feel like the song's beautiful, and so I didn't want to take any credit from them for it," he explains.
