Kanye West Will Lose $20 Million Over Controversial Grammys Stunt: Report

Kanye West certainly tried his Kanye Best at stirring up controversy at the Grammys. The rapper appeared with wife Bianca Censori for the red carpet at the event. Censori bared everything in a completely see-through dress that shocked just about everyone.

While West wanted to make a splash, he may have harmed himself with the stunt. Insiders are saying that West lost out on a $20 million deal to play in Japan as a result. The rapper was set to perform two shows at the Tokyo Dome in May.

However, investors were offended by the rapper and his wife's Grammys stunt.

Speaking with Daily Mail, a source said, "Kanye is just ****ing up every opportunity that comes to him. The stunt was creepy beyond belief and has been greeted with horror in Japan."

He added, "Japan is having a cultural awakening about women's rights and the MeToo movement is really strong here. What he did is being seen as an act of coercive control which is utterly unacceptable. He has completely culturally misjudged Japan."

Kanye West Draws Controversy

West has been living in a Tokyo hotel for a bit. At the Grammys, he appeared pleased with the stunt. He said, "You're making a scene now. Make a scene, I'll say it'll make so much sense.' He added: 'Drop it behind you and then turn, I got you.' She then tells him: 'Alright, let's go.'"

Investors are allegedly angry at the rapper for the stunt. They're trying to pull funding.

A source said, "The investors in Japan who are backing the concerts are extremely upset by this. It is highly likely that they will pull the funding for the shows."

They continued, "He has greatly misjudged the tolerance of the Japanese people towards these activities. He's just not welcome any more. This will be a big blow for him because he has been living in Japan for around a year now, almost full time, and I guess he did not see this coming."

In America, West also drew plenty of controversy.

One also said, "This was totally disrespectful to the Grammys. To pull a stunt at what is essentially a fundraiser and in the context of what has been going on in LA is almost inconceivably stupid, crass and wrong. It's a **** up on a huge scale, but all that Kanye is interested in at the moment is launching his cryptocurrency, and everything else seems to pass him by."
